About this Event

Produced by Live Nation, the If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying world tour will feature three open-air dates along Australia's east coast. The tour is slated to hit Brisbane Showgrounds on November 23, The Domain Sydney on November 29, and Melbourne Showgrounds on November 30. These newly announced shows are an encore run, building on the momentum of his earlier performances in Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, Sydney’s Accord Stadium, and Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium earlier this year, all of which were part of the Red Hot Chili Peppers tour.

This Australian swing is just a fraction of Post Malone’s extensive global tour

Posty performs 26 dates across North America, starting on July 8 at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, IN. The tour will also take him to various countries, including Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Japan, and New Zealand.

Fans attending Post Malone’s Australian concerts can expect to hear tracks from his highly anticipated upcoming album, 'Austin,' which is his fifth full-length LP, as well as beloved fan-favourites, all presented in a completely reimagined live experience.

What is the deal with Posty's new album?

'Austin' follows Malone's 2022 studio effort, 'Twelve Carat Toothache,' which debuted impressively at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart, marking his third top 10 appearance in the Australian music scene. His previous albums, 'Hollywood’s Bleeding' and 'Beerbongs & Bentleys,' debuted at No. 1 on the national Australian tally, showcasing his undeniable popularity and influence in the country. Additionally, his hits compilation, 'The Diamond Collection,' peaked at No. 16 on the ARIA Chart earlier this year, further solidifying his status as a chart-topping artist.

Post Malone's fifth album marks a significant departure as he embraces his guitar skills, playing on every track and blending six-string pop-rock with his familiar trap-pop elements. In this album, Post Malone's vices transform from mere habits into integral aspects of his mental landscape. He navigates co-dependent relationships and cherished memories tainted by his indulgences, portraying a vulnerability that contrasts with his party-centric image.

While the album isn't strictly country, the tenderness with which he regards alcohol brings a distinctly country vibe. Songs like "Enough Is Enough" and "Landmine" capture moments of self-consciousness and reflect on the passage of time. Yet, Post Malone's refusal to let the songs breathe fully leads to an album that feels overstuffed and underdeveloped. Despite this, when he delves into pop-rap, the results are intriguingly weird and uniquely Post Malone. Tracks like "Something Real" showcase his audacious creativity, fusing doomy choir-backed beats with references to luxury and unexpected melodies, revealing Post Malone at his most daring and inventive.

Despite its flaws, 'Austin' demonstrates Post Malone's ability to experiment within the pop-rap genre, infusing his music with unexpected twists and audacious lyricism. This album showcases a Post Malone unafraid to explore new musical territories, making it a captivating listen for fans willing to venture into his evolving artistic landscape.

Post Malone's meteoric rise to stardom

It all began on a fateful night in February 2015 when the young artist, then just nineteen years old, uploaded a demo titled 'White Iverson' to his SoundCloud account. Little did he know that this humble beginning, originating from an inflatable twin mattress on the floor of a closet in a friend's furniture-free house in Encino or Tarzana, would pave the way for his extraordinary musical journey.

Since that pivotal moment, Post Malone has achieved unparalleled success. He has released three multiplatinum studio albums, a greatest-hits compilation, and his latest album, 'Austin.' His accolades include two Album of the Year Grammy Award nominations and three Record of the Year nominations, showcasing his undeniable talent and artistic prowess. Moreover, Post Malone has set a new record, boasting the most diamond-certified ten-million-selling singles with eight chart-toppers, surpassing the previous record held by Bruno Mars.
