Formed in the early 2000s, Anberlin built a reputation as one of alternative rock's most earnest and melodically sharp acts, blending post-hardcore energy with anthemic songwriting that felt equally at home on rock radio and in smaller club venues. Their music is defined by layered guitar work, dynamic shifts between quiet introspection and full-throttle release, and a vocal style that carries genuine emotional weight without tipping into melodrama.

Over the course of several studio albums, the band explored themes of faith, doubt, loss, and resilience, earning strong critical recognition and a devoted following that stretched well beyond their initial scene. After disbanding in the mid-2010s following a farewell tour, Anberlin later returned to performing, signalling that the story was not quite finished.
