Simple Minds

Simple Minds is a highly influential Scottish rock band that formed in Glasgow in 1977, ultimately becoming the most commercially successful Scottish band of the 1980s. Led since their inception by childhood friends Jim Kerr (vocals) and Charlie Burchill (guitar), the group evolved from gritty post-punk roots into an atmospheric art-rock force, before conquering global stadiums with massive synth-pop anthems. Over a career spanning nearly five decades, they have achieved five UK number-one albums, scored dozens of hit singles, and sold more than 60 million albums worldwide.
